“I Saw It in the Western Galilee” – 4:15-5:00 p.m. Materials Fee: $10.00

We’ll “visit” our Omaha Partnership in Israel and each student will express his or her impressions in collage, painting, sculpture and more.
“Stories for Jewish Living” – 5:15-6:00 p.m. Materials Fee: None
Instructor: Maya Wertheimer
Who doesn’t like a good story? We will explore Jewish folktales and Rabbinic stories to teach important Jewish values. By examining tales from the past, we will also study Jewish text and find parallel examples in our own lives.
“Hebrew Enrichment Tutoring” – 4:15-6:00 p.m. by appointment (20 minute sessions – all grades) Materials Fee: None
Instructor: Eadie Tsabari
Individualized or small group Hebrew tutoring for enrichment will be offered to the student who needs an extra boost or would like to experience learning more Hebrew prayers or spoken Hebrew.
Grades 6-7:
“Profiting From the Prophets” – 4:15-5:00 p.m. Materials Fee: None

Who are they? Why do we care what they said? How are they role models for us today? A look at some really important and highly cool, plugged-in people in Jewish history. Real people. Real spirituality, big time. Get connected.
“In God’s Image—Ethical Decision Making for Our Bodies” – 5:15-6:00 p.m. Materials Fee: None

What does it mean that we are created in God’s Image? Do we have individual control over what we do to our bodies—piercings, tattoos, eating disorders, flirting with danger, dressing immodestly? What pressures do we face through fashions and fads? How can we find a moderate path? We will also focus on Jewish identity and connectedness and breaking stereotypes.
