Drop In Anytime And
Check Out Our Women’s Book Club

Our Beth El Women’s Book Club has a special message to all potential members: drop in once, twice, all the time, or whenever you have some free time on a Monday afternoon – you do not have to be a regular attendee to participate and are always welcome, says facilitator Susan Paley.

The book club, which will continue as long as there is interest, meets on Mondays at 1 p.m. at the synagogue. Because each session focuses on a different chapter of the book being read, no one has to worry about falling behind, Susan explained.

The club is currently exploring Women and American Judaism: Historical Perspectives, edited by Jonathan Sarna; it is comprised of scholarly essays which explain the role of Jewish women in changing American culture from 1700 to the present – a fascinating read, and one which will be the focus for a number of upcoming sessions.

Take some time out of your busy schedule and join us for dynamic conversation and some great reading – we hope to see you there!
