Tonight’s program will be led by Cantor Beth Schlossberg. The theme will highlight “women who have affected our lives throughout history; those who have done so by their words and those who have done so by their actions, which others put into words,” according to Cantor Schlossberg. To supplement the discussion, she is asking attendees to bring a quotation from a woman they respect, admire, or look on as a mentor, including everyone from famous women to a family member who had a deep impact on their lives. Through the conversation, she hopes that “we will learn things about each other that we might not otherwise have known, and perhaps even learn something about ourselves which was previously hidden.” This get-together is open to all women in the Jewish community. To RSVP, contact Cantor Schlossberg or Women’s Rosh Hodesh Group Chair Caryn Rifkin.
If you’ve been curious about our Beth El Women’s Rosh Hodesh group but thought it was too late to join in the fun, now is a great time to jump on the new-moon bandwagon! This dynamic, multi-generational group — created by and for the women of Beth El — is constantly changing, always looking to re-invent itself, ready to welcome new faces and new ideas.
