Shabbat is for Study

Torah study has always been an integral aspect of Shabbat, and Beth El is pleased to bring back “Shabbat is for Study,” a lunch ‘n’ learn group which will meet after Saturday morning services. Cantor Beth will lead the sessions, which will focus on learning the history and meaning of the Shabbat service throughout the ages. 

The next session will be held on January 28. The topic will be “What the bible and the commentaries have to say about the environment.” Everyone in the Jewish community is invited to join the conversation; there is no charge for lunch and reservations are not needed.
