Junior Congregation

Junior Congregation meets every Shabbat morning throughout the school year. Students in grades 2-7 are tutored by our teens for 30 minutes. Then Judy Rubin, Eadie Tsabari and our teens lead everyone in a participatory Shabbat morning service. One of the weekly highlights is a student presentation of the weekly parasha in play form. Leadership skills are emphasized plus students have a great time! 

The following students will be Jr. Congregation tutors for the 2011-2012 school year: Sam Lieb, Tal Margalit, Ethan Potash, Elissa Wiener, Samantha Wiener, Aaron Zipursky and Naomi Zipursky. 

All students in grades 3-7 are expected to attend Shabbat services at least ten times per year. Students who meet these requirements will be eligible for greater participation on the Shabbat of their Bar or Bat Mitzvah, and Jr. Congregation is a great way to fulfill this requirement!
