We are excited to resume in-person services at Beth El. In light of COVID-19, we want to create a safe atmosphere and do our best to limit the spread of the virus and keep our members, guests and the greater community safe. With that in mind, the Beth El Reopening Committee has developed the following procedures which embrace CDC guidelines, state and local rules, and expert medical advice.

For those who prefer to stay socially distanced, additional sanctuary seating is available in the pods.

The following rules will be strictly enforced:
1. Registration: For most programs, participants must sign up in advance, to keep gatherings small and enhance our ability for contact tracing in the event of illness. You will be able to sign up online or call the office to register. For Minyan, in lieu of advance registration attendees will sign in upon arrival at Beth El.
2. Self-Administered Health Survey: No one should come to any event if they are ill or have been exposed to COVID-19. No one subject to quarantine will be permitted to attend any Beth El event.
3. Face Coverings:
In accordance with the latest CDC guidance, everyone ages 2 and older must wear a mask/face covering while at Beth El regardless of their vaccination status. Medical professionals across the country have made it clear that vaccination along with wearing a mask is the best way to stay safe from this new Delta variant. We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable and so services will also be offered on our Live Stream or via Zoom.
4. BYOK/BYOT: Please bring your own kippah, tallit and tefillin.
5. Food Service: Limited food service beginning with kiddush following Shabbat morning services will be available.

6. Hand Sanitizer: Please use hand sanitizer frequently, including upon entering the building.
7. Maintaining A Clean Space: We ask for your help to keep our space clean. Hand sanitizer and wipes will be available at all programs and services.
8. Other Logistics:
- Children must remain with a parent/guardian while at Beth El, and they are not permitted in any part of the building without an adult. Currently childcare is available on Shabbat mornings. Childcare will be available on Friday evenings beginnning August 6.

Please note, these policies are subject to change. We will provide updates as needed and keep the most current copy of our safety policies online. Questions should be directed to Allison at anewfeld@bethel-omaha.org.
