Shabbat Shira

10:00 AM - 12:00 PMThis week we read Parshat Beshalach, where we read Shirat HaYam "The Song of The Sea", the section of the Torah that tells the story of the Israelites crossing the Sea of Reeds. As has become our tradition in recent years, Hazzan Krausman has put together a musically filled service to honor the day. You won't want to miss this celebration of song, strength and spirit, featuring some of the talented members of our Beth El community.
Shabbat Shira celebrates the role of music and song in Jewish life. It features a special chanting of Shirat Ha Yam – the Song of the Sea. This unique service will feature moving and inspirational songs presented by our own talented instrumentalists and singers. Shabbat Shira also honors the contributions of courageous women throughout our history, inspired by Miriam and Deborah, about whom we read in our biblical texts of that day.
