Eugene R. Sheppard is Associate Professor of Modern Jewish History and Thought at Brandeis University, as well as Director of the History of Ideas program, Associate Director of the Tauber Institute for the Study of European Jewry, and associate editor of the Tauber Institute Series with Brandeis University Press. His areas of expertise include Modern European Jewish Intellectual History, History of Jewish Nationalism and Zionism, and Modern European Intellectual History and the History of Continental Philosophy. He has a BA from Occidental College, an MA from UCLA and a PhD from UCLA.
