The rock symbolizes many different roles in Judaism. We call God our Rock and Redeemer and the Rock of Israel. We use rocks when we visit loved ones at the cemetery and we view nature that surrounds us as holy Earth. This year, we want everyone to have a piece of togetherness since we haven't been together a year as of March 2020.

The goal is to create your own rocks for your home, so you think of Beth El when you see or hold the painted rock. The other goal is bring back a rock or two to fill a community art project on Beth El’s campus.  When we all come back together, we will view this art project as a community built art initiative.
